It’s a tale as old as time, or at least as old as ready-to-wear clothing: you grab what you think is your size, only to find it either swimming on you or restricting your every move. This confusion is amplified when we delve into the seemingly interchangeable world of XXL and 2XL. Many shoppers, and even some retailers, use these terms synonymously, but a closer look reveals a subtle yet significant difference that can make or break your wardrobe choices. The core of the discrepancy lies in the sizing conventions adopted by different manufacturers and for different types of clothing. Generally, XXL is an extension of standard alpha sizing (S, M, L, XL), while 2XL often signifies a true "plus" or "big and tall" size. "I used to just assume they were the same," admits Sarah Jenkins, a 34-year-old marketing professional. "I'd order an XXL t-shirt online, and sometimes it would fit perfectly, and other times it would be ridiculously small, like a r...

Well, it’s been almost 12 months since I last blogged… why I let myself suffer with such a crappy PC for so long, I don’t know, but now armed with a laptop, I can get back to business…
I want to make my first post of 2009 about a brilliantly talented singer that should win The X Factor 2009 (at least, I think she should anyway), Stacey Solomon that I took a shine to from the start. She has such a bubbly, but goofy personality that makes me laugh every time I hear her, but her voice is sublime and even if she doesn’t win, she’ll get some kind of deal and I’ll certainly be buying her stuff.
Featured in this post are all the available official videos of her on The X Factor and will be kept updated until she’s either voted out or most preferably, won.

Great that she made it into the semi final, her first song wasn't her best performance and was just the wrong song to be picked for her, but she really brings it all out in the second song!

YES! Stacey is through to the final and although I'd love her to win, Joe is favourite and deservedly so, he has an absolutely great voice, the only thing about him is that I think he's more suited to musicals rather than a recording artist. Even if she takes second place, someone will snap her up for a recording deal and I would be pleased with that result.
Ok, so she somehow got voted out of the final showdown. How Olly got more votes then her, I don't know since when I tried to phone my vote through for Stacey, the line was busy for around the first 10-15 minutes of the lines being open, yet when I called to place a vote for Olly (on behalf of the other half), I got straight through. Fixed? Well I think there's something dodgy going on and Olly just happens to be Cowell's last hope...
Anyway, here are her final performances...

I'd like to wish her good luck for the future and hope it isn't the last time we hear of her...
While trying to get iPlayer working on the PlayStation 3 (without success), someone retweeted this Vine which is the funniest thing I've seen this year so far.
I completed Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas for the PS2 ages ago, not 100% with all tags tagged and whatever, but the main game completed. That's why just the other day, I thought I'd take a look at the PC version to see if it was any different and strangely enough, even though I've only played the first half a dozen missions, it's not too different. One thing I was a bit disappointed with was that it doesn't quite support the Xbox 360 pad. It's fine for moving around and doing stuff, but the right analogue stick doesn't work and would be ideal for looking around if it did work in the same way as on the PS2. I've kinda got used to using the keyboard and mouse now, I'm pretty handy with the keyboard when driving and can pull of some good driving skills which I couldn't do with a pad, so I guess I'll just stick to that!
Putting a skin on the R4DS is easy, it's just the matter of making 4 8bit or 24bit bitmap (.bmp) images, naming them correctly and transferring them onto the R4 (well, Micro SD card). Making the skin 'work' better is how the text looks and that's where the theme.ini file comes in. In that file are the 'color' commands to tell the R4 what colour text and stuff should be and this post is to show you which 'color' is for what. You can download a basic ini file from here which has the info in the pic on the right there (click for bigger pic) --> There isn't a specific way to 'tell' you how to change the theme.ini, it's just a case of opening it up in notepad and changing the values of each hex number, there's a chart below which has all the basic colours, but if you're after a more obscure colour, using a paint/photo imaging program would be more useful. There is the chart of all the standard colours which should get you started o...
