Junkyard Reseller Demo First Look: The Ultimate Trash to Treasure Simulator

I'm diving into a brand new Steam demo today called Junkyard Reseller.

The game drops you straight into the thick of it without a fancy main menu, putting you right inside a gritty junkyard full of abandoned scrap and rusty treasures.

As someone who loves a relaxing restoration loop, I was immediately intrigued by the premise.

You forage through the yard, gather rusted items, bring them back to your workbench, and restore them to turn a profit.

My first restoration project was an absolute comedy of errors. I picked up a completely rusted meat grinder, stripped it down to every individual nut and bolt, and used my laser blaster to clean every single piece to 100% perfection.

Being a bit of a old school perfectionist, I spent far longer than I care to admit making sure every speck of rust was completely gone.

But when I brought it up to the selling area, I completely misunderstood how the shop setup worked.

I threw my pristine, restored meat grinder directly down a random chute, only to turn around and realise the actual buyer was standing right behind me at his counter!

Once I figured out the actual trading mechanics with the local utility store and vintage item buyers, the gameplay loop felt incredibly cozy.

While cleaning up a vintage urn, I even ended up chatting about upgrading my wireless Logitech G PRO X 2 headset, dealing with weird audio disconnects, and why these relaxing simulator games are such a perfect way to unwind.

If you enjoy restoration simulators like House Flipper or PowerWash Simulator with a trash to treasure twist, this demo is definitely worth checking out.
