GA: Companions & a Daedra

Later than planned, but as I was playing recently, I wanted to finish off the Impatience of a Saint quest, the one where you go into Soul Cairn and collect 10 pages of a book that Jiub has lost, but what was more interesting is what has happened since leaving Soul Cairn.

Mjoll the Lioness is my wife and companion (yes, my character is also female...), but she wouldn't follow me further than the courtyard in Castle Volkihar. That was ok though, because Serana started following me as we were making our way through the castle and for some reason, became a second companion.


As the picture above shows, Serana is still following (the pic is in the library of the College of Winterhold) and I still get to keep Mjoll, no idea how or why I now have two companions, but I'm guessing it's a glitch.

Then there's the matter of seeing someone I never would have thought possible after completing an earlier quest...


While on a Companions quest, I had to go to Morvunskar and was quite surprised to see our old friend Sanguine there. It turns out that it's not unusual for him to be there and since mages and conjurors take up residence in Morvunskar, you hear them fighting as you get closer to their position.

GTA SA PC WTF LOL

I completed Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas for the PS2 ages ago, not 100% with all tags tagged and whatever, but the main game completed. That's why just the other day, I thought I'd take a look at the PC version to see if it was any different and strangely enough, even though I've only played the first half a dozen missions, it's not too different. One thing I was a bit disappointed with was that it doesn't quite support the Xbox 360 pad. It's fine for moving around and doing stuff, but the right analogue stick doesn't work and would be ideal for looking around if it did work in the same way as on the PS2. I've kinda got used to using the keyboard and mouse now, I'm pretty handy with the keyboard when driving and can pull of some good driving skills which I couldn't do with a pad, so I guess I'll just stick to that!

How to change the R4DS theme.ini

Putting a skin on the R4DS is easy, it's just the matter of making 4 8bit or 24bit bitmap (.bmp) images, naming them correctly and transferring them onto the R4 (well, Micro SD card). Making the skin 'work' better is how the text looks and that's where the theme.ini file comes in. In that file are the 'color' commands to tell the R4 what colour text and stuff should be and this post is to show you which 'color' is for what. You can download a basic ini file from here which has the info in the pic on the right there (click for bigger pic) --> There isn't a specific way to 'tell' you how to change the theme.ini, it's just a case of opening it up in notepad and changing the values of each hex number, there's a chart below which has all the basic colours, but if you're after a more obscure colour, using a paint/photo imaging program would be more useful.
