The Quest for Extra Rare Stuff

I've been playing Family Guy: The Quest for Stuff on my Android tablet since about the day of release and it came to a point where it threw a whole lot of stuff at you and ended up with some stuff being left behind.

This stuff mostly consisted of obtaining rare stuff to unlock characters, but then that stuff became extra rare and even though you were making characters do the tasks to get the item required to unlock a characters' costume, you weren't rewarded with the item at the end of the task.

An example of this is Quagmire. All I needed was ONE Poncy Hat (the actual name of it in the game) to unlock Navy Quagmire and the only way was to get Seamus to sing shanties. Although that task only took four hours, I did it LOADS of times until...



FINALLY! The hat was mine and Navy Quagmire was created in just five seconds. FIVE SECONDS! I had to wait SIXTEEN (16) HOURS to unlock a couple of other character costumes, but anyway, Navy Quagmire was the last costume to create.



I think the trick is, don't think you HAVE to do everything as soon as they open up. If you have other things to do, finish those first, because when you have to start collecting items for other things, items for older stuff gets rarer and rarer.

Leave that exclamation mark floating above their head for a while and complete other things first. I still need just one more eyeshadow to create Goth Chris, but do you think I can get it..?!

GTA SA PC WTF LOL

I completed Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas for the PS2 ages ago, not 100% with all tags tagged and whatever, but the main game completed. That's why just the other day, I thought I'd take a look at the PC version to see if it was any different and strangely enough, even though I've only played the first half a dozen missions, it's not too different. One thing I was a bit disappointed with was that it doesn't quite support the Xbox 360 pad. It's fine for moving around and doing stuff, but the right analogue stick doesn't work and would be ideal for looking around if it did work in the same way as on the PS2. I've kinda got used to using the keyboard and mouse now, I'm pretty handy with the keyboard when driving and can pull of some good driving skills which I couldn't do with a pad, so I guess I'll just stick to that!

How to change the R4DS theme.ini

Putting a skin on the R4DS is easy, it's just the matter of making 4 8bit or 24bit bitmap (.bmp) images, naming them correctly and transferring them onto the R4 (well, Micro SD card). Making the skin 'work' better is how the text looks and that's where the theme.ini file comes in. In that file are the 'color' commands to tell the R4 what colour text and stuff should be and this post is to show you which 'color' is for what. You can download a basic ini file from here which has the info in the pic on the right there (click for bigger pic) --> There isn't a specific way to 'tell' you how to change the theme.ini, it's just a case of opening it up in notepad and changing the values of each hex number, there's a chart below which has all the basic colours, but if you're after a more obscure colour, using a paint/photo imaging program would be more useful.
