The Most Frustrating Outbound Landmark Fix Yet!

If you've been keeping up with my Outbound playthrough over on the channel, you already know that this game just keeps getting better the further in we go.

But man, it really knows exactly how to test my patience.

In Episode 31, I'm taking on what has easily got to be the most frustrating landmark fix I've encountered so far.

The goal was pretty straightforward: take a hot air balloon ride up to the signal tower, repair the massive orange pipe, restore the signal, and grab my well-earned blueprint.

Sounds simple enough, right?

Well, if you've watched my videos before, you know I'm basically my own worst enemy when it comes to inventory management.

I finally got all the way up to the top by the tower, only to realize I needed to craft a wrench.

So, back down I go.

Then I realize I don't have enough scrap metal, bolts, or electronics to actually make the wrench or repair the pipe.

It quickly devolved into a ridiculous back-and-forth mission of farming red ore for hardened metal, gathering redwood planks just to keep the balloon working, and constantly running out of sheet metal.

After grinding my way back and forth for what felt like forever and finally completing the repair... let's just say the reward was a bit anti-climactic.

All that effort for a Efficient Rainwater Energy blueprint!

I swear, sometimes this game just loves to troll me.

But honestly, despite the endless resource running and me constantly forgetting my gear, I'm still absolutely hooked on the game.

You can watch my complete descent into crafting madness in the video below.

Let me know in the comments if you've ever had one of those gaming moments where you completely forget the one crucial item you need!
