The Gambling Machine Finally Pays Off

It's been a little while since our last run.

A recent game update kept throwing a weird DirectX 12 error box every time I tried to boot it up, but we've finally got it sorted and are back on the road for Episode 14!

I actually kicked off this session back at the home garage which is rare for me since I usually prefer staying out on the highway.

I wanted to see what the new update changed, and since I had a cool $10,000 saved up, I decided to unlock the car lift and the toy repair kit.

I'm still actively hunting for the new "Froggy" car shell out in the wild, but no luck on this drive.

The absolute highlight of this run?

I finally beat the Gamba slot machine!

After getting totally scammed by that thing in previous stops, hitting a win and snagging a new belt part felt incredibly satisfying.

I also tweaked the tire wear settings this time around because they were wearing down way too fast before.

It makes driving the twisty new road layouts a lot more enjoyable in the trusty Speedle.

I was fighting through some brutal 80% humidity while recording this one, so if my throat sounds a bit scratchy on the mic, that's why!
