The Great Size Divide: Why XXL and 2XL Are Not the Same

It’s a tale as old as time, or at least as old as ready-to-wear clothing: you grab what you think is your size, only to find it either swimming on you or restricting your every move. This confusion is amplified when we delve into the seemingly interchangeable world of XXL and 2XL. Many shoppers, and even some retailers, use these terms synonymously, but a closer look reveals a subtle yet significant difference that can make or break your wardrobe choices. The core of the discrepancy lies in the sizing conventions adopted by different manufacturers and for different types of clothing. Generally, XXL is an extension of standard alpha sizing (S, M, L, XL), while 2XL often signifies a true "plus" or "big and tall" size. "I used to just assume they were the same," admits Sarah Jenkins, a 34-year-old marketing professional. Favourite part of The Simpsons Movie

I've been playing Guitar Hero II, III and Rocks The 80s quite a bit lately and practicing some songs in Hard mode, which is why I haven't blogged in 5 days and my little finger is aching like buggery. The kids have watched The Simpsons Movie DVD about 5 times already since getting it on Christmas Day and yet I was still the only one not to have seen it, so last night I watched it for the first time.

Oh how it was funny, it was enjoyable all the way through except for a part where I thought Homer was unnecessarily, extremely and quite excessively dumb. Yeah, I know he's usually a bit stupid anyway, but it was a bit over the top and I didn't really find that part very funny, but my favourite part was when they were in Alaska, Bart had drew Ned Flanders over a photo of Homer and was saying, "Howdly doodly, howdly doodly, howdly doodly" in which Homer decided to do his trademark strangling of Bart and I just literally burst out laughing as Homer was strangling him.

At that moment, Bart is squeaking out, "Diddly diddly!" and I just had to rewind it at least 3 times to see it again. There were other parts that I laughed at obviously, but that bit was the best, I was even laughing when capturing that pic from the DVD. If you haven't seen the movie yet, I would seriously recommend it, even if you're not a fan of The Simpsons!
