GA: Sorry Sven, It's Not You...

...Well, it kind of is. I had to complete a task that I had started a couple of hundred hours ago in the game, Boethiah's Calling which is the one where you need to have someone follow you, tell them to touch a pole (oo-er missus) and with a specific blade, sacrifice them.

After a quick reference to whom would be the victim, Sven was the one I was least likely to re-use as a follower because apparently, his skill level caps at 20, a swift backhand from a Frost Troll would see him off before he could whip his sword out.

The fact that his Class is a Bard also means he's pretty useless in combat, unless he knows any songs of death. He is, overall, a low level character of very little purpose, an ideal candidate for sacrificial rituals!

The other quest I finally finished was The Black Star, you know, where you have to enter the Broken Azura's Star and 'cleanse it of Malyn Varen's soul' which is extremely difficult until you reach a high enough level or have a weapon that can do a lot of damage to kill him as quickly as possible.

I gave it to Nelacar who, once you defeat Varen, turns the Azura's Star into a Black Star which is then capable of trapping souls for you to put in soul gems and if you don't know how to use Soul Gems yet, go to my favourite source of information (of which I've linked to throughout this blog post), The Elder Scolls Wiki.

GTA SA PC WTF LOL

I completed Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas for the PS2 ages ago, not 100% with all tags tagged and whatever, but the main game completed. That's why just the other day, I thought I'd take a look at the PC version to see if it was any different and strangely enough, even though I've only played the first half a dozen missions, it's not too different. One thing I was a bit disappointed with was that it doesn't quite support the Xbox 360 pad. It's fine for moving around and doing stuff, but the right analogue stick doesn't work and would be ideal for looking around if it did work in the same way as on the PS2. I've kinda got used to using the keyboard and mouse now, I'm pretty handy with the keyboard when driving and can pull of some good driving skills which I couldn't do with a pad, so I guess I'll just stick to that!

How to change the R4DS theme.ini

Putting a skin on the R4DS is easy, it's just the matter of making 4 8bit or 24bit bitmap (.bmp) images, naming them correctly and transferring them onto the R4 (well, Micro SD card). Making the skin 'work' better is how the text looks and that's where the theme.ini file comes in. In that file are the 'color' commands to tell the R4 what colour text and stuff should be and this post is to show you which 'color' is for what. You can download a basic ini file from here which has the info in the pic on the right there (click for bigger pic) --> There isn't a specific way to 'tell' you how to change the theme.ini, it's just a case of opening it up in notepad and changing the values of each hex number, there's a chart below which has all the basic colours, but if you're after a more obscure colour, using a paint/photo imaging program would be more useful.
