Heavily Armoring My Buggy & Disabling Sandstorms in Apocalypter

We are diving into episode two of Apocalypter today, and things got completely chaotic off camera before I even started recording this run.

I actually lost an entire previous attempt because I spent nearly thirty minutes getting relentlessly chased across the wasteland by two massive sandstorms.

It was so insanely frustrating that I went right into the options and turned sandstorms off entirely. I just want to build scrap vehicles and explore without being forced to run away every five minutes!

Once that headache was out of the way, I got to work heavily armouring up our starter buggy.

A first person view of a heavily armored scrap buggy equipped with front spikes, metal plates, and a roof rack in the game Apocalypter.

I found a bigger radiator, installed a front bumper with giant metal spikes, bolted a car door to the side, and attached a full metal roof rack.

I even managed to squeeze a back seat onto the chassis so we finally have a cozy spot to sleep during the night cycle.

That armour came in handy almost immediately. While exploring a ruined settlement, I ran into a pack of explosive rats and a massive scorpion.

Luckily, I picked up a sawed off shotgun that deals massive damage, so I was able to clear out the local threat, grab a portable dew collector for fresh water, and snatch a heavy water barrel.

We also managed to loot a machete, plenty of 12 gauge shells, and some scrap metal plates that I welded near my legs for extra cover against roaming bandits.

Despite the late night recording session and fighting with the inventory management, this playthrough is turning into a total blast.
